Nationwide, Indians have been key leaders in the field of renewable energy.

Lack of electrification and geographical isolation make wind, solar and water energy excellent choices for clean power for reservations.

Many financial solutions exist to kickstart installations in Indian country, as well as federal incentives that are specific to reservations.

High Plains Wind Energy works with family groups to offset high electric bills and create new opportunities that support the clan lifestyle.

On the tribal level, very cost-effective turbines can be placed at community centers, sports complexes, schools, and Tribal buildings to create the facility power. Many reservations have excellent wind potential where turbines can pay for themselves in a short period of time.
